Sailing is awesome. Duh. Wind in your hair. Sun in your face. And plenty of filthy sailor humor and drinking afterwards. Word. But first, you need time, rich snobs with boats, and access to said boats to do it. So, we partnered with the only nonprofit in NYC that recruits and teaches inner city kids to teach them how to sail. They, in turn, support their mission with sailing trips for boat-less sailors like us. Your fee goes towards supporting that mission. If you've never sailed, this will be a great opportunity to get your proverbial feet wet. If you have, this will be a refresher or a chance to teach the rest of us how to sail like a boss. You’ll be given some super basic instruction and will get to steer. Personal flotation device provided. This trip is rated Beginner*. Watch our videos to see what it’s like to sail with us. Plus, according to the American Sailing Association, July is Learn to Sail Month. Boom! You were meant to book this trip! Sign up.

*Our partner uses small J-24 boats which are very responsive to the choppy waters around NYC. You should probably avoid eating before this trip. Pro-tip: Focus on an object on land to ward off bad vibes. If that doesn’t work, don’t give up on sailing. Just try again on bigger cruising boats.
