We’re carpooling to Assateague Island National Seashore, NY!
This is our first time exploring this park AND our first time doing beach camping WHERE FRIGGIN’ HORSES ROAM FREE!! (OK, ok relax.) This is a scouting trip (see Difficulty Ratings below). OK, wild horses roaming free on beaches where you can campout? Let’s do it, fam! But you can’t ride them, tho. They’re untamable, just like you. And probably irritated by all the mosquitos and horseflies, also, just like you. But not to worry, unless global warming has really screwed things up, the bugs should be way less annoying by this time. Car camping, van life-ing, and RV’ing encouraged. This trip is rated beginner. Make sure to indicate if you need a ride and/or camping gear in the registration form below.
Although there is no fee to go on this trip, there is a camp site fee (already paid) which you will be asked to contribute to. Additional donations may be asked for tolls, gas, camping gear, and ferries (yes, we need to take a ferry to get there).
