Teach on the Beach During Asabakoo!
Ghana is the "gateway" to Africa. It's the longest standing Independence. It's got super friendly people. And it's as safe as your average trip to the mall. Teach on the Beachis a non-profit teaching and tutoring underprivileged Ghanaian youths how to read, write, and math. Classes are taught by volunteers on an after school schedule either 3p to 5p or 6p to 8p. You are the volunteer. Asabakoo (translation: One Dance) is Ghanaian Independence Day Festival, March 6th. (Don't buy anything from that site. We got you.) And like any celebration of independence, it's pretty turnt. The biggest Independence Day party in the region where Teach on the Beach is located (Busua Beach) happens right in front of the Teach on the Beach HQ. On the beach. Word. Why would you want to spend your vacation teaching, though? Because, as much as you'll change the lives of those kids, those kids will change your life, too. Check the clip above and you'll see. We're spending one week teaching, surfing, and checking out all the amazing #sidemissions this part of the world has to offer. Fill out the form below to apply or learn more about this trip.
