You were probably partying all weekend. And so were we. We kayaked to a waterfall, took a dip in some cool water, and there was beer. OK, just one, but it was 12% and we shared it. Yeah buddy! It's not just about the destination or even the activity, but the people you go with that make the experience awesome. Grateful to have the dopest fam in the world. That's right. Big ups to Hudson River Ex for hooking us up.

Hudson River Expeditions rented us Wilderness Kayaks, Werner Paddles, personal flotation devices. We brought our own water shoes, GoPro Hero 3+ with paddle mount, Samsung Galaxy 5s with Lifeproof case. Learn more about what to bring on trips.

Sit down son, 'cause you're 'bout to get schooled. ~~~You live in NY and enjoy all it has to offer. Except probably the Hudson River. The "river that flows two ways" isn't just Manhattan's river, it's NY's river, stretching 315 miles from the Adirondacks all the way down to the Atlantic. And despite how badly NY'ers have screwed it up over the centuries, we're also spending billions of dollars to clean it back up, spurring the creation of non-profits with names like Riverkeepers, Clearwaters, and Scenics who monitor everything that goes into it. Thanks to them, corporations, and other community groups, working collaborative with local, state and federal governments have been working since the 90s to continue to keep it clean so we can enjoy it by sailing, fishing, diving, and yes, paddling it. You can pretty much paddle anywhere on the Hudson. But if you don't own your own gear, or don't know the rules of the river, (or how to paddle... or swim...) it's best to go with an experienced guide/instructor. So, that said, for our second ever kayaking adventure on the Hudson, we're going back out with our partners Hudson River Expeditions, located at Cold Spring, NY. Around this time of the year, the tides are ideal for a tour on long boats to a protected marshes where we'll get up close and personal with a waterfall or to explore the deepest points of the Hudson.
